University of Hawai`i Athletics is launching thier new-look website on August 20th. Be sure to click on the thumbnail and take a look at it first thing tomorrow!

This year the 2008 Football Media Guide is immediately available online. It has everything you need to know and more about the current and past teams. It is full of statistics and history. It’s a must read for the fanatical fan. Click on the thumbnail and check it out!

If you didn’t get a chance to purchase season tickets or you cannot go to every game, now’s your chance to get individual game tickets by clicking on this link. Butter Pound Cake

1 block butter, room temperature
1/3 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/3 c. oil
8 oz. sour cream
1 box Duncan Hines Butter Recipe Golden cake mix

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Beat butter and sugar until light.
3. Add eggs, oil, sour cream, and mix well.
4. Add cake mix and mix thoroughly.
5. Spray 9×13 pan or loaf pans with PAM.
6. Pour cake batter into greased pans and bake for 40 minutes.

Optional: Garnish with Cool Whip or your choice of whipped topping and assorted fresh fruits.

Just the other day…Yes! Warrior football is here!

Just the other day…I went to a Hawai`i Warrior football practice. Football season is here and if you are a fan of the Warriors like I am it couldn’t have come too soon. Whenever I have a chance to run away from work, I mean take vacation, I attend the practices. All of us at Island Sports Media have full-time jobs in addition to what we do for the magazine so we are quite busy and enjoy every minute of it. I know many of you live on the mainland or are not able to attend the practices due to your busy schedules, so I thought I would share my perspective on practices to give you a sense of what they are like.
