Congratulations to Team Pipeline2Paradise, who are the winners of the SHAKA Challenge with a total weight loss percentage of 7.53 % vs. Team Island Sports Media’s 6.28 %.
Team Pipeline2Paradise started the challenge with a total weight of 1281 lbs with a total weight loss of 96.5 lbs. Team Island Sports Media started with a total combined weight of 1473 lbs with a combined weight loss of 92.5 lbs.
This past 6 weeks flew by really fast and proves to me that a few weeks of proper nutrition and exercise can go a long way. I only dropped 16.5 pounds but I lost inches on my waist and also dropped from a 3XL t-shirt to a XL t-shirt. Read more

According to reports from the Honolulu Advertiser, three former University of Hawaii Warriors signed free-agent contracts after today’s draft. Center John Estes signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and offensive tackle Ray Hisatake signed a three year contract with the Carolina Panthers. Read more

The first round of the 2010 NFL Draft is officially over but the journey for two islanders Tyson Alualu and Mike Iupati has just begun. Alualu who graduated from Hawaii’s St. Louis High School in 2005 has joined a select few Hawaii players to be drafted in the first round of the NFL draft, which includes Herman Wedemeyer, Russ Francis, Al Harris, Chris Naeole, and Ashley Lelie.
Alualu a 6 feet 2 1/2, 298lb defensive end from the University of California was selected as the 10th overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Read more

Kemoeatu Brother’s Comin’ Home Event Kicks Off

Ma`ake (Carolina Panthers) and Chris Kemoeatu’s (Pittsburgh Steelers), first annual “Kemoeatu Brothers Foundation Comin’ Home NFL Event” kicked off yesterday morning at Farrell’s Pearlridge where NFL players met with fans and signed autographs. The players then travelled to Wet N Wild and participated in a pie eating contest, signed autographs, and also met with kids from the Ronald McDonald House. Read more
