When I first moved to Washington, I met the owner/chef Charlie over at Golden House Chinese Cuisine Restaurant. Charlie came over to our table and introduced himself. He told us that he used to live and own a restaurant in Hawai’i. Anyway, the food there reminds me of chinese food back home in Hawai’i. He has cake noodle, just like back home. I normally get the cake noodle with beef broccoli. They also have one of my favorites, (cold) ginger chicken but I think you have to call them early for that dish. Anyway, the honey walnut prawns is also a winner.
So, the next time you are in the area. Stop by and check out this place. This place reminds me of the Chinese food by home in Hawai’i.
In my opinion, Golden House is an 10 out of 10 in Chinese Restaurants in the area. It’s becasue they serve good food and they make you feel at home. Good friendly atmosphere.

Today, I stopped at Ezell’s Famous Chicken in Renton, Washington. My buddy Bruce and I, decided to stop there for a snack on our way to dinner since we heard the Oprah likes the chicken. Eh…no laugh…we were hungry. Anyway, this branch of Ezell’s opened in the past few months so it looked really nice. Because I’m on a diet and we were on our way to dinner, I had the Snack Pack. This included one thigh, a drumstick, and a bun. And my buddy had the 1/2 pound of chicken strips.
I ordered the original chicken and it was really juicy and crispy but it was missing something….it seems that it needed a little more salt for my taste. I think I’m so used to Albertson’s or Zippy’s chicken, which is a little more salty. Anyway, I used the honey mustard sauce and it tasted great. The bun was really good, it reminded me of the Sweet Bread in Read more

It’s only two days away from my Hawaii trip but I couldn’t wait. I stopped by the famous Bobby’s Hawaiian Style Restaurant in Everett, WA. Bobby’s was featured on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. The food at Bobby’s are just like back home in Hawai’i. The Mochiko Chicken and the Kalibi Ribs are onolicious (delicious for the mainlanders). Bobby and Diana makes you feel right at home. www.bobbyshawaiianstylerestaurant.com
