Michelle Wie made her rookie debut on the LPGA Tour this Valentine’s weekend. Wie finished the second round tied for the lead with Angela Stanford. After holding a three stroke lead heading down the back nine Wie hit into a hazard on the Eleventh hole for a double bogie. In combination with a missed shot put on Sixteen it was over. Stanford overtook Wie in a flurry with three straight birdies. This was Stanford’s third win in her last seven tournaments. Despite the loss for Wie, she is off to a stellar start.

Colt Brennan Update

August 17, 2008

By Dave K.

Colt Brennan - Courtesy NFL/Getty ImagesThe Washington Redskins played in their third pre-season game against Brett Favre and the NY Jets.  The game was broadcasted by Comcast Sports Network so I was not able to watch it.  I hope some of you were lucky enough to watch it at a bar or at home.

Upon reviewing the highlights and statistics of the game, it appears Colt Brennan did fairly well.  Colt went 4-5 for 79 yards, one touchdown, and was sacked twice.  The touchdown gave the Redskins the lead for good.   Compare that with Brett Favre’s stats of 5-6 for 48 yards, one touchdown, and was sacked once, I say Colt held his own and did a great job!

The next pre-season game for the Redskins is at Carolina on Saturday, August 23rd at 7:30 p.m., EST.  Again, the game will not be on network television.

We’re cheering for you Colt!  Keep it up!
