Miracle on Montlake

Wow!!! Is the way I have to explain, what happened Saturday at Husky Stadium. Not too many people out there gave Steve Sarkisian and his coaching staff a chance to come up with a game plan to match up with the mighty Trojans of USC. A game plan that would keep the Huskies close on the score board.   Coach Sarkisian and his game plan was not working on the first couple drives of the game as USC jumped out to a 10 point lead. You could hear a pin drop as the crowd took a deep breath.

The offense put together a great drive killing some time off the clock while Coach Holt and the defense changed up their scheme in an attempt to slow down USC.

The offense score and motivated the defense.   The defensive line of Teo, Thompson, Alasera and Chricton added little more speed and quickness that was needed to slow down the USC offense. Not only did the they slow them down the defense kept the Trojans from scoring until the fourth quarter, giving up a field goal.

The Husky defense also came up with turn overs and was very stingy not allowing USC to score another touchdown. To hold  USC’s offense to 3 points in three quarters is miracle in it itself. Jake and the Husky offense moved the football very well against a very stingy Trojan team.   The drive to win the game had a mixture of different things but the one person that controlled every thing was Jake Locker.  Cool, calm and collective under pressure.  The madness that followed was incredible. Husky Nation just let out years and years of frustration and celebrated just like conquering heroes. Congratulation to the DAWGS on their Quest to be the Best continue on at Stanford. Yes, the DAWGS are Rank# 24 on the AP Poll..
