End of School Year Hawaiian BBQ

Jefferson Elementary PTA presents the End of School Year Hawaiian BBQ.

Come down and get a taste of Hawaii. There will be Hawaiian music, hula, food, games for kids, and Hawaiian vendors.

Music by Jus’ Us and Hawaii’s Music Award Nominee Alika Nako’oka from Maui, Hawaii (www.alikasmusic.com). Hula by MPF Polynesia Productions.   *Performer Alika Nako’oka has agreed to donate $2 from the price of his CD “Promise Me This” sold during the end-of-year BBQ to the Jefferson PTA Playground Equipment Fund.

There will also be games for the kids, Hawaiian vendors and raffle drawings for several Hawaiian-themed gift baskets (including a hand-made Hawaiian Quilt.  Raffle tickets will be sold during the event for $1 each.

Tickets for the general public is $10 pre-sale/$12 at the door, which will include a choice of a Kalua Pig or Teriyaki Chicken Plate with rice and toss salad.

Tickets are available for the general public at Oahu’s Hawaiian Restaurant at 7318 Evergreen Way in Everett and at the door.

Jefferson Elementary School Families:

Tickets to the End-of-Year BBQ will be sold in advance thru Friday, May 28th (flyers should have gone home last week with the students).  Prices will be $5.00 each for Jefferson PTA families and $5.50 each for non-PTA Jefferson families.

The ticket gives you entry into the event and your choice of a Kalua Pig (smoked pulled pork) or Teriyaki Chicken plate.  A Kids’ Hot Dog plate will be available for $3.50 each (for the less adventurous palates).  Ticket prices for Jefferson families will go up to $10 at the door.

The net proceeds from the BBQ will go towards the Jefferson PTA Playground Equipment Fund.  As you may know, the re-model of Jefferson will be completed next year, but we still need to raise money to purchase the playground equipment, the cost of which is not included as part of the re-model.
