Tupou selected to the USA Football’s National Team

Seattle, WA – Taniela Tupou of Mill Creek, WA/Hawaii was selected to the USA Football’s 2011 U.S. Under-19 National Team.  The team will play on Feb. 2 in Austin, Texas.  The team is comprised of athletes from four continents in the Team USA vs. The World game.

The 6-foot-2, 260 pound Tupou played defensive end at Arch Bishop Murphy High School in Everett, WA.   He is one of 45 high school seniors from the United States that was selected to play on the National team.   Tupou was introduced as a member of the team prior to the Seattle Seahawks game on January 2, 2011.  Tupou joins Viliami Moala a defensive tackle from Grant HS in California as one of two Polynesian players selected to the team.

Tupou has verbally committed to play at the University of Washington.
